Okay that was difficult. Not mind numbingly complex, just difficult. The directions in the book were along the lines of ‘as the leaf before only sc 5 around pc’. Um, yeah there were two leaves before one of which was sc 5 around pc.
So I had to look at the black and white picture and guess what I was supposed to do. I resorted to writing in the book what I did for future reference. Other than needing to clean it up and messing up the stem I’m fairly satisfied with it. I didn’t realize until I had tied off that the stem in the pic was different than the one I did.
Now I know it should be nice and flat and lace worthy but considering it’s that cusp of fall and that it’s a maple leaf I decided to leave the edges of the leaf curled for now.
I can’t wait to finish with the book and start working with the colored thread I bought!
Just picture that leaf in the burnt orange of the background. *sigh*
