Sea Turtle Floaties

I’ve been dying for an excuse to make Crochet Today!’s Sea Turtle Floaties. Luckily a friend of mine is tolerant of me giving her baby odd things. The turtles actually make up fairly quickly and since I’m lazy I only made one.

I’m semi proud of myself I actually bothered to check my gauge… for one yarn. The body of the turtle is the correct size and even looks turtlely. The shell… well that’s another matter. I was using leftover yarn from my ever growing stash of such and the yarn for the body and shell were different. I know it should have been my hint that I’d need different hooks for both. Oh, well. It’s still kinda cute and a 16month old could careless as long as he gets to shove it in his mouth.

His eyes are hard to see since they blend in to the body.
