Hiking… Again

I gave in. I let my knee rest a few weeks and went out again. My husband and dog found a new area that’s less crowded and flatter; blissfully flatter. My son even learned to be a bit quieter; minus the ‘Mom, what’s this plant’ questions every 30 seconds.

If anyone ever told you a desert isn’t pretty, they aren’t following this blog. 😉

Despite being in a more lush area now, I sorely miss the desert.

I think the desert misses me. This is our 3rd duty station in a desert. I miss the east coast and being on water! My husband and I both grew up along the east coast with in 30mins or less of a beach it’s still hard after all these years to not have that. At least I have mountains!

Lol I had my fill of snow and humidity growing up back East. The desert spoiled me.

      • Marcia Young says:

I don’t miss snow but when I think ‘East Coast’ I think ‘Lowcountry’ or at least ‘Southern’. The humidity lets me breath easier since I have cronic sinusitis and all the nastiness that goes with it. I miss being able to breath! LOL

Lol I think of back East as up North and East but not the NE.
