Reuseable Gifts

One of my favorite things in recent years is to give and receive gifts in reusable packaging. I’m positively gleeful over receiving gifts packaged in tissue wrap (which I reuse) that are then tossed into reusable bags.

Reusable bags of varying size made from laminated fabric are a pretty much a no brainer. They just scream ‘throw me in the trunk and lets go shopping!’. However, another item I love to receive is cookie tins. Yes, cookie tins. Plastic, tin, or even glass I love them all.

Check out this little beauty.

Every year my mom bakes cookies for us. Every year she finds cute little tins or plastic containers to mail them in. Some of them I put away for seasonal use others I use. One from last year is currently holding my homemade laundry soap.

This one is about to become home to golden brown sugar in:

Now I just need to find something big enough for all my flour…

I use a shatter proof plastic bucket. It holds 5lbs of flour. Bonus, it has a handle to heft it wherever I need it in the kitchen.
