The Pigtail Hat

I have no defense.

Really I don’t. I was bored and decided I hadn’t used my knitting needles in a long time. Then I got to thinking of what to use them for, and the obvious solution since it’s cold, was a hat.

I suck at knitting so it’s best to keep it simple.

The body of the hat is a simple garter stitch. The pigtails were crocheted using a foundation chain of over a foot long before working in a ruffle pattern. After that it was attached to the hat where you’d wear your pigtails at. Er… roughly anyway.

The result?

… Unique? My poor model was confused as to what I made and why. What can I say it’s dangerous being in an area with me when I just finish a project and need a model.

When I asked her to model she just kinda looked around and said, “This is awkward.”
